At the 20th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), BAIC unveiled a bold leap forward in its electrification strategy with the introduction of the B60e Beaumont rEV – a rugged yet refined SUV combining next-generation hybrid-electric innovation with off-road confidence.
A New Take On Electrified Adventure
The B60e Beaumont rEV is based on BAIC’s largest ladder-frame SUV platform, the B60 Beaumont, but it features a substantial upgrade under the skin.
At the heart of this innovation is a range-extended powertrain – combining dual electric motors with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that acts solely as a generator. This setup allows for seamless charging of the battery while delivering high levels of performance and range.
With a combined output of 547 horsepower and 655 Nm of torque, this SUV is engineered to take on long journeys and unpredictable terrain with ease. It offers up to 1200km of range on a full charge and tank, giving drivers the freedom to explore without compromise.

This powerhouse doesn’t just bring performance – it brings adaptability. The B60e Beaumont rEV features an extensive selection of drive modes to match every type of road and condition. From Fuel Priority and EV Mode to Automatic switching, the system adjusts power delivery based on driving demands.
In addition, standard terrain modes include Eco, Comfort, Sport, Snow, Crossing, Mud, Sand, Rock, Wading, and Extreme Speed – ensuring this SUV is just as confident off the beaten track as it is on the highway.

On the outside, the B60e Beaumont rEV sports a sleeker and more aggressive aesthetic than its mild-hybrid sibling. The front fascia features the new Five-Port Light Ring design, flanked by redesigned bumpers and new taillight clusters that bring a futuristic edge to the vehicle’s appearance. Larger 20-inch six-spoke alloy wheels round off the bolder stance.
Inside, the interior strikes a balance between ruggedness and refined technology. The cabin retains the robust layout of the standard B60 Beaumont but elevates it with smarter tech. A 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto sits at the centre, now joined by a second 12.8-inch passenger display – turning even the longest drives into connected, entertainment-rich experiences.
